About Us:
The Carter County Long Term Recovery committee is a non-profit organization, formed in August 2010 to serve the entire Carter County area. Our objective is to take a pro-active approach to being prepared in the event of a natural disaster.
Our Mission Statement:
+ To help build and sustain the viability and long-term success of Carter County businesses and their citizens, the LTRT will:
--Work alongside local, state and federal leaders, religious and charitable agencies and other organizations to drive the coordination, organization and implementation of the necessary activities needed to complete the recovery from the 2010 floods.
--Strive to provide support for a safe, healthy environment while focusing efforts and taking the necessary action to prevent similar disasters in the future.
+ In order to accomplish these goals, the LTRT will provide, assist and in some cases, lead various activities that will include (but not be limited to) case management, crisis counseling, community assessment, financial coordination (fund raising, donations, etc.), construction coordination, volunteer coordination, etc.
